Building doors and windows that the eye can see are the weakest link in armed attacks.

An Armored Window or Door Is Made of Two Important Materials

Bulletproof frame:

( Occupies 75-80% of the total window area )

Bulletproof glass enclosed in a bulletproof frame:

( Occupies 75-80% )

Armored Windows and Doors ; The safety chain can be completed with the frame made of bulletproof profiles with the same ballistic standard as the bulletproof glass . Otherwise, the bullet , which cannot pass through the bulletproof glass , will pass through the frames with a very large area on the doors and windows .

If a conscious gunman realizes that the door and window panes are bulletproof, he will shoot at the door and window frames.

We produce Bulletproof Armored Doors and Windows at World Standards, Designs and Designs of Our Company. We produce Bulletproof Armored Doors and Windows at World Standards, Designs and Designs of Our Company.

1 -ARMORED ALUMINUM WINDOWS: Bullet Proof Aluminum Door and Window Frames

We manufacture bulletproof doors and windows from specially designed bulletproof aluminum profiles .

Its working principle is formed by placing  bulletproof steel plates in the channels inside the aluminum profiles.

It is designed to prevent bullets from passing through the body of the frame, the junction of the glass and the frame, the corner points of the frame, the aluminum lath holding the windows, the lock mechanism, the hinge and opening handle of the window .

We offer Bulletproof Frame alternatives with special designs belonging to our company, according to various application areas .

  • Aluminum Bulletproof Frames Without Thermal Insulation
: We produce with non-insulated bulletproof glasses when thermal insulation is not important.
  • Heat Insulated Aluminum Bullet Proof Frames:
In cases where thermal insulation is important, we produce fireproof plastic heat barrier and insulated bulletproof glasses in aluminum frames.
  • " T" Type Aluminum Bulletproof Frames:
In cases where a blind frame profile is used in the application detail, we produce a design that also closes the blind frame profile.
  • " L" type Aluminum Bulletproof Frames: We
produce in a design that can be applied directly to concrete in applications where blind frame profiles are not used.
  • Concealed Sash Type Aluminum Bullet Proof Frames: We
produce in opening windows, applications where the opening sash profile is too heavy, without applying a lead steel sheet inside the sash profile.

Bullet Proof Aluminum Window Opening Options:

The fact that Bulletproof Aluminum Windows can be opened is not recommended as it means that the bulletproof feature is lost. However, cleaning of windows that cannot be opened, ambient ventilation, etc. Due to the problems, we produce with various opening options upon request.

Asgard Bulletproof Aluminum Window Features:

  • We ensure the perfect joining of the window profiles by   cutting the aluminum profiles specially designed for bulletproofing with our computer-controlled machines .
  • We use world brand SSAB / Armox armor steels among aluminum profiles.
  • We cut bulletproof steel sheets with laser machine, not plasma . Thus, we maintain the same bulletproof feature in every cm2 of the steel plate .
  • We press the corner joints by using strong corner wedges at the corner joints of aluminum profiles . In addition , by using specially designed heavy-duty hinges , we ensure that bulletproof aluminum windows can be opened and closed easily and used for many years without the need for repair .
  • We provide high insulation values in every climate by using high performance , hard and non- flammable thermal insulation barriers and special leak-proof rubber gaskets.

  • Since the bulletproof steel plates are in the channels inside the aluminum profiles, the contact of the steel with the weather conditions is cut off. Thus, we ensure that the steel remains resistant to corrosion and wear and  maintains its bullet-proof feature for a lifetime .

Bulletproof aluminum profiles;

  • Can be painted with electrostatic powder paint
  • Wooden pattern transfer is possible
  • It can be covered with natural wood.

Bulletproof Window Ballistic Standards

Bullet Proof Aluminum Doors and Windows at EN 1522-23 FN4/NS - FB6/NS - FB7/NS levels produced in Asgard Defense production facilities have test reports from European Accredited Laboratories.

Our Bulletproof Aluminum Window and Door Systems are not only bulletproof against short and long barreled weapons, but also resistant to cluster bombs.

Understanding Ballistic Standard Table According to European Union Standards

An Example: EN 1522-23 FB7/ NS: What is it and how to read it?

Bulletproof door or window; It is a test in which a NATO standard 7,62x51 mm caliber, 9,8 gr, pointed steel core bullet is fired 3 shots from a distance of 10 meters at a speed of 820 m/s with a long-barreled gun.
However, it should include FB5 and FB6 level tests.
As a result of the test, 3 bullets must stop without passing through the glass and profiles of the door and window, and no part should pass to the opposite side.
  • EN 1522-23 Standard:
European standards created for bulletproof doors and windows . (EN)= European Norm
  • Original Document Name and Source :
European Standard EN 1522/1523:2000 Windows, Doors; ICS: 13,310; 91.060.50
  • Bulletproof Classification
    Original document definition–Standard: FB7/(NS)

(FB)= Bulletproof class, ( digit )= level, (NS–No Splinters)= No Splints

FB7/ (S) = It means the bullet did not pass, but splattered.

FB is  the Ballistic Window standard . The number (7) at the end indicates the ballistic level.

With which weapons and ammunition, NS (NO SPLINTERS) means No Leap.

NS (NO SPLINTER) No Parts-No Splash What Does It Mean?

Bulletproof tested window; Even if the bullet does not pass through the bulletproof glass and frame to the opposite side, no part of the glass and frame should pass to the back of the window. Although the bullet does not pass, the pieces of glass and frame that come out in the form of splinters cause injuries to the people inside. NS (NO SPLINTERS) means bulletproof glass and frame particles will not come out. The general discourse is said as not to jump.

In tests, aluminum thin foil is placed behind a 500mm x 500mm bulletproof window.
This is called the Witness Foil . Whether or not the particles come out is determined by whether this foil is damaged or not.

"Well-known mistakes" on Misreading Ballistic Standards

EN 1063 BR (1 to 7) STANDARD : Standard for Bulletproof Glass only
EN 1522-23 FB (1 to 7) STANDARD : Standard for Bulletproof Door and Window Units

Bulletproof door and window unit;

  • bulletproof frame
  • It consists of bulletproof glass.

It is a test standard made with bulletproof glass of the same ballistic standard attached to the bulletproof frame. In the ballistic test, the bulletproof glass and the bulletproof frame are shot together.
Bulletproof profile without bulletproof glass cannot be tested and EN 1522-23 FB standard cannot be given.

As it is said in abbreviation in the bulletproof sector;

  • BR 7 Bulletproof (Door, Window, Joinery, Steel, etc.) standard saying- FALSE
  • The BR 7 Bulletproof Glass standard is said to be- TRUE.
  • FB 7 Bulletproof (Frame, Profile, Steel, etc.) standard saying – WRONG

  • FB 7 Bulletproof Door or Window standard said , with bulletproof glass attached to bulletproof frame - TRUE
